Paledi's Progression Party 16th March

Final Reminder, Come Rain or High Water. Its On

For some ODD reason I figured you’ll appreciate my story below, correct me if I’m wrong but I’m particularly confident though!!!

Warning Guidelines:

  • You’re advised to take LEAVE the Monday following the event due to unforeseen circumstances;
  • Again you also encouraged to book a CAMPING SITE for SLEEPING PURPOSES as you would have booked leave for the Monday cause P3 is just Madness
  • Perhaps you need to bring two sets of clothing, one for the afternoon ( Shorts, slops, picnic towels/blankets etc.), your evening gear will probably consist of a pair of Jeans, a top and something warm as the evening might get Chilly
  • The venue provides for adventure activities such as River rafting and the likes, you also advised to book in advance and the contact numbers are on the flyer. ( There’s provision for showers should you need to freshen up )
  • I think you also need to watch out for 3m depth of the Crocodile River considering that the event is just on the River Bank.
  • It’s a Cash Bar
  • And PLEASE PASS ON TO YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Global Breakthrough Festival 2008

http://www.global-breakthrough.com/

Global Breakthrough and Miller Genuine Draft confirmed today that one of music’s hottest tickets, Snow Patrol (Gary-vocals and Tom-keyboards), will perform a very special DJ set at this year’s five-day Global Breakthrough Festival alongside some of the finest DJ talent from around the world and South Africa. The festival kicks off in Cape Town on Wednesday 27 February and runs until Sunday 2 March, at prized locations that include Signal Hill and a helicopter hangar. A very special fringe event will also take place at The Godfrey Moloi Mansion in Soweto on 2 March, in what is expected to be the biggest international dance event this famous township has ever experienced.

The international line-up includes techno, house and minimal wizard Luciano, Circoloco-Ibiza’s prized resident who very recently was voted second-best DJ in the world by ResidentAdvisor.net. Also on the bill is deep house, jazz-infused Henrik Schwarz playing a LIVE set, and Âme – producer of the world-wide club smash hit Rej, who is also head honcho of Europe’s favourite deep house label, Innervisions. Alongside the visiting artists, a line-up of some of the most revered local talent will also be in action.

Says Miller Genuine Draft brand Marketing Manager Alistair Mokoena: “Apart from the massive entertainment value that this festival holds, it also serves as a space for artists to exchange ideas and gain learning from one another. The Miller Global Breakthrough Festival is an international talent platform for South Africa’s electronic industry and is run by people close to the scene.”

It is an experience that marks lives permanently, and without fail, positively.

Tuks Rag Festival 8 Feb 2008

The Tuks Rag Festival is bringing you something regular, international and local

Vodacom, Smirnoff Spin, Tuks Rag and OppiKoppi Productions are proud to announce the inclusion of an international band on this year’s Tuks Rag Farm Festival line-up. The Tuks Rag Festival has become a national treasure to both old and young with each year throwing massive parties over the Rag week in beginning of February, and it is all for the cause of raising money for charity. 2008 is an even more special year for the University of Pretoria as the University is 100 years old. Get to the Tuks Rag Farm Festival on 8 February for a bash with local artists and an international band, set to rock three different stages. On 9 February, the Tuks Rag Festival will be taking over the streets of Pretoria again with their annual procession which will end in Hatfield, followed by an after party on Hatfield Square.

This year the Tuks Rag Farm Festival is not going to be any ordinary festival as the 8th of February is set to be the biggest party they have ever organized and will feature their first, ever, international act, OK Go. South African locals who will open the stage for OK Go are, the Parlotones, Car Crash Burn, Fuzigish, Fokofpolisiekar, Chris Chameleon, DJ Oskido and L’vovo Derrango. Gates open at 14h00 and tickets are available at the following places, with their particulars; please note that these tickets also include access to the procession and the after party on Saturday 9 February:

- R100 for students with a valid student card from the University of Pretoria students or www.oppikoppi.co.za until Thursday 7 February otherwise it is R120. If you have a valid student card then you can buy as many tickets as you want to with it.

- After 7 Ferbruary tickets will go for R120 for both students and non students.

- Ticket are available ar www.oppikoppi.co.za, www.ticketconnection.co.za, all Mr Price Stores, the Tuks Rag Office and at the gate on the day.

The Tuks Rag Procession, Saturday 9 February, will take over the streets of the Jacaranda city with a colourful display of different floats, built by students of the University of Pretoria. The Procession will start in Lynnwood road and will end in Hatfield, keep an eye out for more information about their route. The Tuks Rag Festival will then close off with a after party in Hatfield Square, featuring loads of entertainment and one big student affair. If you did not buy a ticket for 8 February, don’t despair as you can either buy a ticket for R30 or take part in the Tuks Rag Procession and get in for free.
